The machines described below are suitable for handling three types of crates with different heights.
At the destacker, stacks of nested crates are de-stacked and transported into the process as a single crate.
With the crate stecker with integrated bale arm opener, single crates are fed into the machine, the bale arms opened, and the crates stacked nested.
The machine control is automatically adjusted to the type of crate in the stacker.
Two stacks of crates are transported short side leading in the destacker. The penultimate crates are lifted from the lowest crates and positioned in hold grippers. The lower crates now run out of the crate destacker.
Depending on the type of the crate, the bale arm opener will be positioned at the correct level.
When the machine is empty, two single crates are fed long side leading into the bale arm opener over the supply track. When the crates are positioned correctly, the bale arms will open. The two single crates will be transported to the stacker, and two new crates are placed in the bale arm opener.
The machine control is automatically adjusted to the type of the offered crate.
Two single crates are positioned in the stacker. Both crates are lifted and placed in the extra hold grippers. The second batch of two single crates are positioned in the stacker and lifted under the two crates in the extra hold grippers. Now the third batch of two single crates are positioned in the stacker and lifted under the first two batches. This process continues until the two stacks are formed and leave the stacker. Two new stacks can now be formed.
